Laser Acne - Does It Work to Remove Your Acne?

Laser Acne therapy is done to make your face free from acne. Many people who suffer from acne, especially women will consider to have acne laser treatment. However this treatment seems to be less effective  for non inflammatory acne such as blackheads and whiteheads. It is also less effective for severe lesions such as nodules and cysts

Laser works by exciting the compounds which is called as porphyrins. Porphyrins live inside the acne bacteria. If acne laser stimulate the porphyrins, it will break the bacteria wall which is effective killing the bacteria.  Fewer acne bacteria will help lessen the symptoms of acne. Actually, the cost you should pay to have acne laser treatment in the doctor is quite affordable. It cost about $ 200 up to $ 500 for each treatment

Usually the doctor will suggest you 3 treatments for a month apart. But some doctors sometimes suggest more frequently and more treatments. The lasers that are used by doctor for acne patiens include Pulsed Dye, Diode, Infrared, KTP, Fractional, LHE, and Isolaz (vacuum laser). Sometimes the doctors will apply 5 aminolevulinic acid to laser acne treatment. But it is important to know that ALA will make your skin more sensitive because thin-skinned. ALA might help release more porphyrins in the acne bacteria

Acne Laser treatment mostly used to treat mild acne scarring to moderate. Commonly there are 2 types of laser treatment for acne which are ablative laser treatment and non ablative laser treatment. In ablative treatment the doctors use lasers to remove a little bit of skin around your scar in order to generate a new and smooth looking skin. While non ablative treatment commonly use lasers to incite the growth of collagen. Collagen itself is a type of protein that found in skin. Collagen’s function is helping fix some of the scartch that caused by scarring. If skin have enough collagen, it will make your skin look healthier and better

Just like other treatment, acne laser treatment also have some side effects. There are some patients feel pain during this treatment. After the treatment, most of them report redness, skin peeling, and some inflamation. ALA treatment might cause inflamation of hair follicles and skin darkening. It needs avoidance of sunlight about 30 hours after they have treatment in order to reduce such effects. So whether laser acne effective or not , it's back to your decision . You can meet your dermatologist to consult this treatment whether it is the best solution for your acne problem or not. Or, you might try natural acne scar treatment for safer option
